Position: Construction Project Manager
Overview: The Construction Project Manager will oversee the planning, design, and construction of data center facilities. They will manage all aspects of the construction process from start to finish and ensure that projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in construction management, specifically in the data center industry with a focus on mission-critical facilities and infrastructure systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop project plans, timelines, and budgets for data center construction projects
- Coordinate with architects, engineers, and contractors to ensure project designs meet specifications and comply with building codes
- Oversee all construction activities, including site preparation, building construction, and installation of infrastructure systems such as HVAC, MEP, and critical power and cooling systems
- Monitor project progress and ensure that construction stays on schedule and within budget
- Manage all project stakeholders, including clients, vendors, and subcontractors
- Conduct regular site visits and inspections to ensure that work is being performed according to plan and quality standards
- Communicate project status updates and address any issues or concerns that arise during construction
- Ensure that all safety protocols and regulations are followed on the job site
- Manage project closeout process and ensure that all necessary documentation is completed and delivered to the client
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or related field
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in data center construction, with a focus on mission-critical facilities and infrastructure systems
- Strong knowledge of construction processes, building codes, and regulations
- Experience managing large-scale projects and multiple stakeholders
- Excellent communication and leadership skills
- Ability to read and interpret construction plans and technical drawings
- Proficient in project management software and MS Office Suite
- Strong organizational and time-management skills
- Willingness to travel and work on job sites as needed
- Certification in project management or construction management is a plus.
