The Estimator plays a crucial role in the pre-construction phase by providing accurate cost estimates for projects based on construction documents, blueprints, and project specifications. This position requires a detail-oriented individual who can analyze project requirements, perform quantity takeoffs, and assist in budgeting to ensure projects are completed within financial parameters while mitigating risks.

Key Responsibilities

Review construction documents and blueprints to understand project specifications.
Perform quantity takeoffs to determine the necessary materials and labor costs.
Prepare detailed cost estimates for projects, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
Assist in developing project budgets based on estimates and client requirements.
Conduct risk analysis to identify potential issues and propose mitigation strategies.
Collaborate with project managers to align estimates with project schedules.
Utilize Excel and other software tools for data analysis and reporting.

Qualifications

Proven experience as an estimator in the construction industry.
Strong knowledge of construction documents and blueprint reading.
Proficiency in quantity takeoff and budgeting processes.
Familiarity with risk analysis techniques and project management principles.
Excellent scheduling skills and an ability to work under tight deadlines.
Advanced skills in Excel and other relevant software.
