Established (75+ Years) Leading Building Materials Company Seeks Lead Instrumentation Technician in Southern Dallas, TX
They're a leading provider of quality roofing and building materials, and they're looking for a Lead Instrumentation Technician who has experience with PLC troubleshooting. This person must also be within a commutable distance to Southern Dallas and have leadership or supervisor experience.

Who you are:
Minimum 7 years of professional experience with high school diploma or GED OR
Minimum of 4 years professional experience with an associate degree
Experience troubleshooting PLCs and experience with electrical instrumentation
Experience with Siemens (preferred) and Allen Bradley
Experience planning and scheduling (SAP preferred)
Experience as a leader or supervisor; or interest in that type of role
Preferred experience:
Experience with process control and PID tuning
HMI programming experience (Wonderware preferred)
Experience in roofing manufacturing or web process handling other processes that integrate multiple pieces of equipment.
Machine Vision or Vision Inspection Systems installation and programming experience
Robotics experience
Experience with IIOT Devices
Field service technician background preferred.
NEC, and Electrical Distribution Knowledge and Experience
What you will be doing:
Drive plant culture on items such as safety, teamwork, communication, processes etc.
Schedule and approve hours
Develop, schedule, track and deliver training
Address and correct technical and teamwork performance issues
Promote interdepartmental teamwork and communication
Address scheduling conflicts and fill in as required for planned shift coverage deficiencies
Collaborate with Operator and Industrial Technician Leads to improve line support process and execution
Develop and Maintain plant technical database
Develop and Maintain plant technical equipment
Write and maintain plant electrical standard work plans and troubleshooting guides
Participate in maintenance work planning and scheduling
Participate in/lead after action reviews and root cause problem elimination exercises
Specify replacements for obsolete plant electrical/controls equipment
Plans and schedules work for Instrumentation techs in SAP
Troubleshoots PLCs, HMIs, and quality vision systems
Participates in the Controls On-Call rotation for afterhours support of the plant
