Mechanical Design Engineer

Location: Onsite in Riverdale, NJ

Salary: $100k-$115k DOE

Position Overview
We are an expanding international company specializing in the creation and production of pressure sensors, transducers, switches, and precision metal bellows, serving a variety of industries. We are seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Design Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the design and development of mechanical systems and components, ensuring that they meet both performance and safety requirements. This role will involve collaboration with cross-functional teams to bring innovative products from concept to production.

Key Responsibilities

Develop and design mechanical components and systems using SolidWorks.
Conduct product development activities from concept through to proof of concept.
Apply geometric tolerancing to ensure precision in design specifications.
Utilize Product Data Management (PDM) tools to manage design documentation effectively.
Perform Design of Experiments (DOE) to optimize product performance and reliability.
Create and review technical drawings and specifications for manufacturing processes.
Collaborate with manufacturing teams to ensure designs are feasible and cost-effective.

Qualifications

5+ yrs Mechanical Engineering experience.
BS in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
Proficient in SolidWorks and FEA.
Experience leading product development processes.
Strong understanding of geometric tolerancing and PDM systems.
Ability to create proof of concept designs and prototypes.
