We are looking to expand our team with a talented and experienced partner to lead and grow our insurance disputes practice.
The Role:
As a partner in our Insurance Disputes practice group, you will play a key role in managing and expanding our growing practice. You will be responsible for leading high-profile insurance litigation and disputes, providing strategic counsel to clients, and driving business development initiatives. You will also mentor and manage a team of skilled associates, ensuring the delivery of exceptional service to our clients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage complex insurance disputes, including coverage issues, professional indemnity, property and casualty claims, and reinsurance matters.
- Represent clients in court proceedings, mediations, arbitrations, and alternative dispute resolution (ADR) processes.
- Provide strategic and legal advice to clients across various sectors, including insurance companies, policyholders, and brokers.
- Build and maintain relationships with key clients, identifying opportunities for business development and expanding the firm's presence in the insurance sector.
- Manage and mentor junior lawyers, fostering a collaborative and supportive team culture.
- Stay up to date with developments in insurance law and industry trends to deliver cutting-edge legal solutions.
Ideal Candidate:
- A qualified solicitor with substantial experience in insurance disputes, ideally with a minimum of 8 years experience
- Proven track record in handling complex, high-value insurance litigation, with experience in both contentious and advisory work.
- Strong network within the insurance industry and a demonstrable ability to generate new business and expand client relationships.
- Excellent advocacy and negotiation skills, with the ability to represent clients at all levels of dispute resolution.
- A leadership mindset with the ability to manage and develop a team of lawyers.
