Position Overview: As a Pipe Stress Engineer, you will be responsible for analyzing the structural integrity of piping systems used in various industries. This is a remote position, allowing you to work from anywhere with a reliable internet connection. You will collaborate with project teams and utilize specialized software to ensure that the piping systems are designed and installed correctly, minimizing the risk of failure or damage.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform piping stress analysis using industry-standard software, such as Caesar II and Pipe stress
- Review project specifications and design documents to identify potential stress and load issues
- Generate stress reports and provide recommendations for design modifications to ensure structural integrity
- Collaborate with project engineers and designers to optimize piping layouts for efficient and safe operation
- Conduct design reviews and participate in project meetings to provide technical expertise on piping stress analysis
- Keep up-to-date with industry standards and best practices for piping design and stress analysis
- Communicate effectively with project stakeholders to address any concerns or issues regarding piping stress analysis
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in piping stress analysis
- Proficient in using industry-standard software, such as Caesar II and Pipestress
- Strong knowledge of piping codes and standards, such as ASME B31.3 and API 610
- Experience working on remote projects and collaborating with project teams virtually
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple projects, and meet deadlines.
