We are a leader in rotary compressor technology for use in heavy industrial applications. We are seeking a talented PLC Programmer to join our dedicated team. The PLC Programmer is responsible for programming and configuration of PLCs, HMIs and Vibration monitoring systems along with the set up and configuration of various types of transmitters to work with the PLC or the control system.
Key Responsibilities:
- Responsible for programming and configuration of PLCs, HMIs and Vibration monitoring systems along with the set up and configuration of various types of transmitters to work with the PLC or the control system.
- Support to Develop or revise documentation related to the project: Wiring diagrams, control panel and junction boxes layouts, electrical equipment lists, sequence of controls, memory maps, data sheets for instrumentation including vibration hardware, cause and effect, logic diagrams, quality plans (F.A.T), test sheets, alarm and trip set-point tables, system architecture drawings, laser cut drawings, instrument rack drawings, electrical hook up drawings, instrument installation drawings, cable lists, etc.
- Provides support to the Controls Field Service Engineers by fully engaging in the troubleshooting of PLC programs for systems being commissioned.
- Responsible for successfully conducting internal and witnessed F.A.Ts, and providing positive feedback to the current documents being used in Electrical Engineering. Write Standards, Procedures, and Forms to improve the Company's processes.
- Develop Logic Diagrams based on the SOCs and research new hardware being requested by our clients and develop procedures for incorporating them into our standard designs.
Qualifications:
- B.S. Electrical Engineering or has years of equivalent industry Experience.
- Must have proven experience in PLC, HMI logic and programming within different software packages (Rockwell, Siemens, GE, Omron)
- Some experience in computer-assisted engineering, design and office software (i.e. AutoCAD, EPlan, Excel, etc.).
- Moderate to Expert level experience in programming, testing and simulating control systems (i.e. transmitters, control valves, PLC's, and control panels).
