The Role
You will be responsible for driving continuous improvement to enhance operations, availability, and efficiency. Re-architecting the infrastructure landscape and adopting new technologies are also crucial aspects. A global perspective and strong customer focus are essential within the new Enterprise Cloud Services program.
You will work with a team of Database Experts who manage databases and address critical topics such as Incident Management, Problem Management, High Availability, Disaster Recovery, Backup & Restore, among other operational tasks.
You will monitor and manage the database landscape in large-scale productive environments. You must have a good understanding of policies, workflows, groups, and clients for configuring backups. Ensuring data integrity and determining the most suitable recovery techniques are key responsibilities. You should be able to handle data recovery scenarios effectively and accurately, with a clear understanding of Point-In-Time (PIT) and full recovery techniques. Additionally, you will handle incidents involving critical systems and manage failover and failback processes as needed.
Skills Required
- 8+ yrs DBA skills including strong RDBMS ideally including HANA and ASE
- Experience with installs, upgrades, backup and recovery, performance tuning
- Must be willing to be on call on rotation
