What You Will Be Doing

In this leadership role, you are responsible for advising clients on the tax implications of their business objectives, evaluating and selecting alternative actions to lessen tax burden and cost of compliance, identifying different methods of complying with tax regulations while acting as the primary client contact for complex tax issues.

This position is charged with applying knowledge to understand potential tax issues as well as recognizing and communicating potential risks and potential changes in the tax policy.

You will be asked to communicate with the team on a consistent basis. Previous experience with CCH Engagement Tax software will be helpful.

What You Need for this Position

At least 10+ years of Public Accounting experience (including 5+ years of Tax Manager experience), with:
- An Active CPA License (REQUIRED)
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting (REQUIRED)
- Must be a people person and have great leadership skills
- Must have experience with Small Business Tax Planning and HNW Tax Planning
- Must have a book of business for and a passion for serving small-medium sized clients in Central Florida
- Must be engaged, and invested with building a future in public accounting, with a desire to become a Tax Partner
- Must be willing to work in office when needed and attend client meetings and events in the Orlando, FL region

- Ability to review complex federal, state and local tax returns for individuals, partnerships, and corporations within a variety of industries
- In-depth understanding of the technical and practical issues and opportunities regarding one or more areas of taxation
- Ability to build relationships and interact with new and existing clients to provide excellent planning, consulting and industry knowledge expertise
- Ability to be involved in the marketing, networking and business development within an area of expertise and specialization
- Ability to be responsible for billing and profitability of all assigned engagements
- Ability to reinforce firm culture along with mentoring and coaching others
- Ability to review work prepared by staff and senior associates and provide review comments
- Ability to trains others on how to use all current software tools and processes and procedures
- Must be analytical with the ability to see the big picture
- Must have strong computer skills (CCH ProSystem Fx Engagement, Excel, Outlook, Quickbooks, Microsoft Teams)
- Ability to proactively seek new and challenging assignments
- Ability to establish effective working relationships within a team
- Ability to promote and uphold our firm's image, reputation, and culture
- Ability to take personal responsibility to complete a task, project, or assignment from beginning to end
- Ability to produce a work product that is accurate, complete, neat, and timely
- Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality and respect for others
