Territory Sales Manager - Midwest

Position Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Territory Sales Manager to oversee and expand our sales efforts in the Midwest region. The ideal candidate will have experience working with distributors such as Cisco, Fosters, BFG, Arett, etc., have nursery or retail experience, and general lawn and garden experience with insecticides, pesticides, and fertilizers. This position requires a proactive approach to outside sales and participation in trade shows and advertising initiatives to enhance brand visibility.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute sales strategies to achieve territory sales goals.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key accounts, including retail and big box stores.
  • Conduct regular visits to customers and prospects to promote products and services.
  • Identify new business opportunities and potential clients in the territory.
  • Participate in trade shows and advertising efforts to enhance brand awareness and drive sales.
  • Analyze market trends and competitor activity to adjust sales tactics accordingly.
  • Provide training and support to retail partners to maximize product placement and sales.
  • Prepare regular sales reports and forecasts for management review.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in outside sales, preferably in the retail, lawn & garden/pesticides industry.
  • Proven track record of achieving sales targets and developing customer relationships.
  • Strong knowledge of lawn and garden products and market trends.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to travel within the Midwest region as required.
  • Experience with trade shows and advertising campaigns is a plus.
