Position Overview:
We are a 40 year company focused on producing high-end audio systems for home and commercial applications. Our software team is growing, and we are in need of a UX/UI Software Engineer, ideally one that has worked on Audio systems in the past.
This role is hybrid / remote, and pay is between 130k-184k depending on experience and before bonus/benefits.
We are seeking a talented User Interface/User Experience Software Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing and developing user-friendly interfaces and experiences for our software products based on Audio Hardware. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in front-end and back-end development, as well as a keen eye for design and user experience. Experience with Python, REACT, Material UI, Flask, and other relevant technologies is highly preferred.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and develop user interfaces and experiences for our software products
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand user needs and requirements
- Utilize HTML5, CSS3, TypeScript, JavaScript, and other web technologies to create responsive designs for multiple devices
- Ensure mobile-first development and responsive design principles are followed
- Implement and maintain version control systems, such as GitLab
- Troubleshoot and debug UI/UX issues
- Communicate and collaborate effectively with team members and stakeholders
- Embrace an Agile development approach and participate in SCRUM meetings
- Utilize JIRA and Confluence for project management and documentation
- Stay updated on industry trends and advancements in UI/UX design and development
- Provide support and guidance to other team members as needed
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field
- Experience with Python, REACT, Material UI, Flask, and other relevant technologies
- Strong understanding of front-end and back-end development
- Experience with design and user experience principles
- Proficiency in HTML5, CSS3, TypeScript, and JavaScript
- Familiarity with responsive design and mobile-first development principles
- Experience with version control systems, such as GitLab
- Problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Familiarity with Agile development methodology
- Experience with audio technology and digital signal processing is a plus
- Familiarity with Linux, yocto, and embedded systems is a plus
- Knowledge of cloud services, such as Google Cloud Platform and AWS, is a plus
