The Role
Burke CPAs & Advisors seeks a Tax Manager specializing in Business Taxation. In this role, you will oversee and manage all aspects of business tax compliance, tax planning, and accounting activities. We're looking for an individual with extensive experience in business tax law, a strategic mindset, and excellent communication and leadership skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as a trusted advisor to clients, providing solutions for their accounting and tax needs.
- Review tax returns and related financial documents to ensure accuracy and compliance for projects you manage.
- Provide feedback, suggestions, and adjustments on tax returns that align with tax compliance standards.
- Develop tax planning strategies to minimize client tax liabilities and improve financial outcomes.
- Maintain strong client relationships as their primary point of contact for tax-related questions and concerns.
- Proactively identify and address client needs that align with firm services, enhancing credibility and trust.
- Support clients through federal, state, and local tax audits by gathering required information.
- Develop expertise in specialized tax areas and be a resource for the team on those topics.
- Cultivate knowledge in the business and industry of clients to offer relevant and impactful guidance.
Qualifications
- CPA license required.
- 5-10 years of tax accounting experience in a public accounting setting.
- Proven experience managing multiple client engagements in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong work ethic and a commitment to delivering exceptional client service.
